• Solubility: Slightly soluble in water; solubility decreases with rising temperature. Insoluble in ethanol and acetone. Soluble in dilute acids with CO? evolution.
• Aqueous solution: Weakly alkaline, pH of 5% solution ≈10~11; low hygroscopicity, stable at ambient temperature, not easy to deliquesce
• Hazard: Not classified as dangerous goods. Dust may irritate respiratory tract and eyes. Pharma grade has pharmacological toxicity (used for mania treatment with narrow therapeutic window).
